Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.

Our Story
Joe Witte, Managing Director
When I reflect back on my work experience, it’s interesting to see how the diversity of mission, size, culture and industries has intersected with our vision at Sycamore. Our objective is to help our customers fuse the agility of a start-up with the process of an enterprise while understanding the "big picture" both inside and the four walls at our office.
Most recently, as the East Coast Executive Director at Bunker Labs (a veteran service organization), I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to help veterans start and grow businesses. I took our CEO’s vision and wrapped it with a great team and system to build one of the region’s most prominent accelerators. In less than 3 years, we were able to engage thousands of veteran business leaders through events and rich programs. Our core cohort companies raise more than $13mm and generated $10mm per year in revenue and hired more than 300 employees.
Prior to Bunker Labs, I’ve led business development and marketing for a SaaS platform (ISEBOX) and a disruptive engineering company (Kinetic Ceramics). I was also the founder and head of business development for an offshore software services company (CentricSource) and co-founder and COO at Guru Corporation, which provided logo, web and SEO services for nine years where I helped get us to $5mm in revenue.
I served as an Army Officer in the Transportation Corps for nine years with a tour in Iraq in 2005. Serving our country has been an important part of my family history and has played a crucial role in my leadership and process expertise. Going way back, I started and sold an internet travel company (Travel Ad Network), and was an Account Executive at Doubleclick and USA Networks. I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State University and have additional education from the US Army, Stanford and am Hubspot Certified in Sales. I'm also the proud husband and father of five children. But my greatest inspiration and guide is my faith that helps ground me and provide guidance on our purpose to serve. I recently climbed Kilimanjaro as part of the Chris Long Foundation to help provide clean water sources for the people of Tanzania.
Each one of these diverse experiences has provided insights into starting, operating and growing businesses. My objective is to share these insights and experiences with you so that we can help you, and your business grow.
